Rise up? Wake up

The song "Rise up" by Max Enforcer caught my attention, because of its lyrics:

Rise up
This is my resurrection
This is the point of no return
Rebirth (...) 

This is my resurrection
Reborn, my sole redemption
This is the point of no return
This is my declaration
New life, new destination (...)

"This" refers to the "rise up" to which you are called. If this rising up is:

• your resurrection,
• the point of no return,
• your rebirth,
• your sole redemption,
• your declaration, and
• new life, new destination, 

you have forgotten a basic fact of life: your impending and inevitable death.

If rising up is your sole redemption in this life, your upcoming death shows that you are without hope.

Your declaration is then a declaration of desperation: seeking to be persuaded about something you know is not true: like being drunk or high: living a lie, until truth takes hold.

And then what? 

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment"

Therefore, wake up.
