You think you are saved from hell?
How do you know for sure?
Can you prove that your name is written in the book of life? You should:
For as it is written, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not (...) in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." This includes most Christians.
Therefore, don't guess:
Prove all things: from God's word.
The word of God, Ephesians 2:8-9:
"BY GRACE are ye saved THROUGH FAITH;
and that not of yourselves:
IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD:
NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast."
Salvation: "by grace"
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.
Salvation: "through faith"
But to him that WORKETH NOT, but BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted for righteousness.
Salvation: "it is the gift of God"
"it is the gift of God"
You cannot EARN a GIFT. Your works will EARN you a REWARD: Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of DEBT.
Salvation: "Not of works"
"not of works"
Works are any deed other than believing. Examples of work:
The deeds of the law - works - and grace are mutually exclusive. For if it be of works, then is it no more grace.
FAITH: the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for
You know you are saved by grace through faith alone? If yes, good. But faith in what? Please listen to this salvation message and prove the substance of your faith:
